The story
2024
Founding
PYRE Parties launches at the University of Toronto. Every other student event organizer in the city was focused on having fun themselves. Nobody ran real marketing campaigns, staffed security or EMS, or brought industry-grade AV into venues never built for it. That gap was the opening. PYRE Parties set out to build the safest, best-produced student events in Toronto: full campaigns across channels student organizers weren't using, professional staffing, real production values, and unique experiences layered in: interactive themes, photo and video coverage, face painting and brand activations.

2024
Year one
Twelve events, 15,000-plus guests. The smallest crowd weathered a rainstorm at 650; the largest, a Halloween party, sold roughly 2,500 tickets and drew an estimated 2,000-plus arrivals, believed to be the largest student party ever held at the University of Toronto.
2024
The turning point
An official college formal at a landmark Toronto hotel was the first time PYRE ran entertainment and AV for a fully official, high-end institutional event, and the moment the team realized this could go far beyond ticketed student parties. Soon after, a multi-day conference retreat brought PYRE in to run full audio, lighting and entertainment production across multiple rooms over several days.

What started as PYRE Parties became PYRE Events, a full-scale event production company bringing everything learned running the city's biggest student events (safety, staffing, production value, genuine personalization) into weddings, corporate events, conferences, galas and private celebrations. Same standards. Bigger stage.
